Chickens
We have lots of Chickens!
All different kinds, that whole variety is the spice of life thing, you know!
Plus, we like having a whole lot of different colors of eggs.
Rainbow Valley, rainbow eggs......... get it?
We are not in the habit of selling our chickens very often, only when they are
slowing down laying eggs,
because that is what we do! We sell eggs! Not Chickens!
However, occasionally, we do sell chickens to people that
offer to give them a good home!
People that just want a few girls for a few eggs.
So email us if you want, usually in the fall, to see if we have any to sell
that need good homes.........
Please, though, don't see a picture and want that one! It rarely works that way!
Some pictures are of our babies and will live out their lives here.
Breed availability is a possibility, though.
So enjoy the pictures,
and click on the Finding Us page to see where we sell the eggs!

We Have No girls at this time
needing new homes!

Every few years we recycle our hens for egg production.
We try to find them new homes with people that just want a few eggs, or bug control or pets.
Please help us find them good homes! all we are asking is a little over the price of replacement. $5 cash & carry!
No delivery!

Feeding & General Care

Let me start out by saying
Chickens are omnivorous!
They will eat anything!
That said, we do not feed them any meat products or blood meal.
We do not give them hormones, antibiotics or chemicals!
We do feed them a prepared food, that has none of these things in them, they are NOT however organic! Mostly because WHO can afford it? Not us!
We care more about their health than being organic.
They are considered free range by the standards put forth by the USDA.
They are truly as cage free, etc.,
as the coyotes will let them be.
They are in 24 X 48 foot covered
pens with misting systems and fans.
They are VERY spoiled, they get alfalfa on occasion, and are fed
flax seed for Omega 3.
You won't find a better tasting
egg around!
